Stuffed French toast pockets

While there are so many ways to make this classic breakfast(french toast), here is one of the variations. This stuffed french toast pocket is simple and just adding one extra ingredient to it, gives a good twist.


Ingredients(Serving: 4 pockets)

4 spoons of cream cheese

4 spoons of honey

1 tsp of cinnamon powder

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch or salt


Method

  1. To a bowl, add 4 spoons of cream cheese, 4 spoons of honey, 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder and mix it.

  2. Roll two slices of bread flat using a rolling pin and place a spoon of the cream mixed earlier on a rolled bread. Use the other rolled bread to close it and press it around the corner to make pockets.

  3. Repeat step 2 for the remaining 3 pairs of bread.

  4. To another bowl, break two eggs, add vanilla extract, a pinch of salt and 1/2 cinnamon powder. Mix it well and dip the pockets on both sides and place the pockets in a baking tray.

  5. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius and bake it for 20 minutes and enjoy it with maple syrup or honey! I sieved some powdered sugar and added honey on top of it.
